The BAM Group has developed into one of the leading event marketing and communications companies in the world today. Providing a range of services from full event management to media management and everything in between, BAM Media can handle or advise on almost every facet of event management and promotion.

The following is a sample of some of BAM Media’s current and recent events:

NIKON SUPERGP/INDY – GOLD COAST, QUEENSLAND

Nikon SuperGp on the Gold Coast

BAM Media has had a relationship with this event since its inception in 1991, but took over as full-time Communication and Media Managers in 1998. Since then, the event has produced record crowds virtually every year and is now seen as one of the premier open-wheel and V8 Supercar Championship events in the world. It is Australia’s biggest motorsport event.

WORLD ATHLETIC CHAMPIONSHIPS – PROPOSAL

World Athletic Championships

BAM Media was contracted by Queensland Events to handle the media and PR requirements for their pitch for the 2011 World Athletic Championships. This was an exhaustive process, which looked at the facilities, transport, catering, hardware and software systems, accreditation and overall logistics for more than 10,000 national and international members of the media and host broadcasters.

BAM Media would have been contracted to implement those requirements had the bid been successful.

CRUSTY DEMONS OF DIRT – MOTOCROSS – AUSTRALIA WIDE

The Crusty Demons of Dirt

As the stars of the biggest selling sports video series of all time, the 2001 Crusty Demons of Dirt tour was always going to be a large event. BAM Media was employed by Sports & Entertainment Limited (SEL) to sell the sport of extreme motocross to the mainstream media. The tour went from an original plan of three events to eight sell-out shows in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

BATHURST 1000 – BATHURST, NSW

Bathurst 1000

This is another event with which the BAM Group has had a long association. BAM was the Media Manager of the event regarded as Australia’s icon motorsport event held around the famous Mount Panorama circuit from 2002 to 2004. All three years of our relationship resulted in record-breaking crowds and publicity.

HOLDEN AUSTRALIAN OPEN – GOLF – GRAND GOLF CLUB, QUEENSLAND

Holden Australian Open

Through a long association with IMG, BAM secured the Media Management duties of the 2001 Holden Australian Open at the Grand Golf Club on the Gold Coast. A controversial venue when first launched, the 2001 event was an outstanding success with personal thanks to BAM Media received from Event Director Dallas O’Brien and Australian Golf Union Executive Director Colin Phillips.

WPS BATHURST 12 HOUR – BATHURST, NSW

Bathurst WPS

The WPS Bathurst 12 Hour brings all the action of endurance production car racing back to the legendary Mount Panorama each year. With Minis, Holden Sport wagons, BMWs, Subaru’s, Celica’s, Eco-diesel machines and everything in between hitting the track, spectators get a great chance to see a real ‘showroom showdown’ played out right before their eyes in this great ‘race around the clock’. We helped introduce the product to the market from day one and played a major role in its initial growth.

LEYBURN HISTORIC SPRINTS – LEYBURN, QUEENSLAND

Leyburn Sprints

The annual Leyburn Historic Sprints is a motor racing feature that saw the rural Darling Downs town explode from a population of about 150 to more than 18,000 people. During two days, drivers tested their skills around a one-kilometre street circuit. The event commemorates the 1949 running of the Australian Grand Prix. BAM Media was contracted to market the Leyburn Historic Sprints through Queensland Event’s Regional Development Fund and doubled its size in year one.

CASTROL EDGE WINTERNATIONALS – IPSWICH, QUEENSLAND

Castrol Edge Winternationals at Willowbank

One of the major events on Willowbank Raceway’s annual calendar is the Castrol EDGE Winternationals held in June. This event is the biggest drag racing event outside of North America.
