Red Rooster are a sponsor of the Kelly Racing organisation in the Australian V8 Supercar Championship Series.
On July 10-12, 2009 V8 Supercars raced on the streets of Townsville in North Queensland for the first time.
Red Rooster, in consultation with their Northern Queensland restaurants, decided they wanted to activate some activity around the inaugural event – that decision was only reached three weeks before the event.
BAM Media was contacted regarding the idea and provided with a budget from which a concept could be applied.
A concept was formulated for when Red Rooster, in association with the Townsville Bulletin newspaper and HOT FM radio, would start a search for North Queensland’s first V8 Supercar driver.
WHAT RED ROOSTER HAVE TO SAY:
"The work and management from Brett Murray and BAM Media in relation to our inaugural V8 Supercar event in Townsville was more than impressive. We had approximately 5000 entries in the competition for the go kart and this was over only 4-5days! BAM Media continually went our of their way to look after the Red Rooster brand and had an amazing understanding of all facets of the media associated with the competition and the event. The impact of their efforts on the entire region was evident in both store traffic and sales.
"Just imagine what we can do for next year with several months planning and an on-going relationship with BAM Media,"
- Christine Allen, Franchisee/Director Red Rooster Townsville & Mackay
